From Casio Japan – Four new multicolored G-Shock watches are being released next month in October. Two octagonal design from the B2100 series, the GM-B2100PC and GM-B2100BPC, along with two new square models from the B5000 series, the GMW-B5000PC and GMW-B5000BPC. Here are some bullet points about these new gorgeous, full-metal G-Shocks:

  • Four new models released: GMW-B5000PC, GMW-B5000BPC, GM-B2100PC, and GM-B2100BPC.
  • Features rainbow color accents on the dial and indices for unique styling.
  • Bezel and bracelet constructed from solid stainless steel for durability.
  • Shock resistant with 200 meter water resistance, Tough Solar, Multi-Band 6, and Bluetooth.
  • All models have a screw case back but unfortunately no sapphire glass.

Let’s take a closer look at the lineup:

GMW-B5000PC and GMW-B5000BPC | Two Square Full-Metal G-Shocks

Casio expands its upscale full-metal G-Shock 5000 series with the GMW-B5000PC and the GMW-B5000BPC. These rugged timepieces incorporates vivid rainbow colors for a bold new look.

The first thing you’ll notice is the vibrant dial, with a glossy, multi-colored, vapor deposition gradient sweeping around the digital display. Hues shift from blue to green, or as Casio calls it “evoking an auroral brilliance.”

Encasing these lively colors is a durable stainless steel case and bracelet. Measuring 49.3 mm wide by 43.2 mm tall and 13 mm thick, both models retains the iconic square styling of the original 5000 series. The stainless steel construction is certainly rugged but has elegant refinement. These are quite handsome and the splashes of color really set them off.

The silver model will retail for 80,300 JPY, and the black version, with a negative display, at 89,100 JPY when they launch in October 2023.

  • Case size: 49.3 x 43.2 x 13 mm
  • Weight: 167 g
  • Case and bezel: Stainless steel
  • Bracelet One-push, three-buckle stainless steel
  • Water resistance: 200 meters
  • Features: Tough Solar, Bluetooth, Multi-band 6

GM-B2100PC and GM-B2100BPC | Two Octagonal Full-Metal G-Shocks

The two, new models in the GM-B2100 series add bold, vibrant colors to Casio’s octagonal full metal 2100 G-Shock “Casioak” series. Purple and blue hues swirl across the hands and indexes in the silver model, and the black model has a warm gradient of reds and oranges extending across the hands and indices.

Both models have analog hands with a beautiful gradient shift and a splash of Neobrite that glows nicely in the dark. The double LED is extremely bright and lights up both the dial and the digital display. Being full metal, the watches weigh in at 165 grams but they are also highly durable. And to note: each model has a negative digital display which you may or may not like. Personally, I appreciate a positive display, especially on the 2100 series which has a very small display window.
